1. Determine Payment Method

The first step in buying a home is determining your method of payment. If you plan to obtain a mortgage loan, we recommend finding a local lender for a well written pre-approval letter to accompany your offer to purchase. This is an essential first step! If you are considering a cash purchase, you will need an account statement with your name and balance.

 

2. Showings & Open Houses

The next logical step after getting finances in order is exploring the market, the FUN part! This may include:

Showings. Let’s get you into some homes! After learning what you’re looking for in a home we will schedule appointments and view homes of interest. Worried about after hours showings? Don’t be! We will accommodate your schedule and remain accessible to you the whole time. Looking for something more specific? We will watch the market diligently for the perfect fit to come available. When it does, we may need to move quickly, not to worry! We will be poised to act swiftly.

Open Houses. We encourage buyers to attend open houses, typically held on Sunday afternoons, they are a great way to explore the market. If you find a home of particular interest, please call your Dream Weaver Team Agent right away. Your agent will schedule a more private, in-depth tour immediately. Please do share with the realtor hosting the open house that we are working together, this eliminate any complications or misunderstandings.

 

3. Making an Offer

Once you have found your dream home, and are ready to purchase, things get real! This part of the process can be a little complicated, but you can put your trust in us to guide you through. We will lay out your options, explain the fine print, discuss strategies, and go through potential obstacles. Dream Weaver Team Agents have expert understanding of the details and the nuances of real estate negotiations.

4. Home-Buying Success!

Once we have a fully accepted purchase agreement, we are almost there! Your Dream Weaver Team agent will walk you through the inspection phase, home owner’s insurance, utility transfer, and your real estate closing. We will help schedule/coordinate these steps while you work on packing, choosing new paint colors, and ordering those curtains you found online. No worries, we will lead you the WHOLE way!
